Community, Football, and Giving Back: Tailgating at the Route 66 Drive-In

Monday September 8, the Central Illinois Customer Service Association was proud to host a special fundraiser at the Route 66 Drive-In. With the Chicago Bears taking on the Minnesota Vikings on the big screen, fans from both sides came together—not just for football, but for a greater purpose.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we raised $1,770 for Chatham Strong!

It was a beautiful night filled with great food, great conversations, and plenty of laughter. Whether you were wearing navy and orange or purple and gold, it was inspiring to see the community unite for such a meaningful cause.

A heartfelt thank you to Knight’s Action Park for hosting us at their legendary Route 66 Drive-In. Your partnership helped make this night possible.

And of course, thank you to everyone who came out to support the event—whether you were cheering, cooking, or just enjoying the atmosphere, you made a difference.

This evening reminded us that when people come together, even as rivals on the field, incredible things can happen off the field. Bears fans, Vikings fans, and friends of Chatham alike proved that community spirit is the real winner.

Together, we’re stronger. Together, we’re Chatham Strong.
